Getting there
Travelling from Graz: Route 1 Travelling on the A9 Phyrn motorway – take the Ardning exit – stay on the main road until you reach Admont – continue on through the town towards Kaiserau – turn right up towards the Moosbrugger saw mill – you have reached your destination: Castle Röthelstein. Route 2 Take the Trieben exit off the motorway – continue over the Kaiserau mountain – when you have crossed the Kaiserau follow the signs to “JUFA Schloss Röthelstein” – turn left directly after the bridge onto Röthelsteinstrasse / Schlossstrasse.
Travelling from Salzburg: Travelling on the A10 Tauern motorway – take the Radstadt exit – continue on until Liezen – from Liezen continue on the main road until you reach Admont – carry on through the town towards Kaiserau – turn right up towards the Moosbrugger saw mill – you have reached your destination: Castle Röthelstein.
The JUFA Hotel Schloss Röthelstein*** is not directly accessible by public transport, but of course you can also reach Gesäuse region in an environmentally friendly way.
On weekends and public holidays, trains run twice a day from Vienna to the Gesäuse and back via the Westbahn railway line. On Fridays, express trains run all year round from Vienna to Liezen (terminus Bischofshofen) and back to Vienna on Sundays (bicycles can be taken on reservation).
ÖBB Eurocity and Intercity trains run through the Ennstal Valley every two hours. There are direct connections from Graz, Innsbruck and Salzburg to the railway station in the district capital Liezen. From Vienna, there are trains to Liezen every two hours via the Südbahn railway line with a single change in Leoben (on the same platform).
From Liezen station or alternatively from Ardning station, which can be reached by regional trains, the regional companies Taxi Herrak or Taxi Wagner will bring you safely and comfortably to our hotel.
