Schladming-Dachstein in summer

Where the upper Enns Valley flows into the Salzkammergut, the mighty Schladming-Dachstein mountain massif is enthroned. Crossed by lakes, peaks and alpine pastures, the region impresses with its varied geography and creates space for a wide range of outdoor activities. The Dachstein glacier offers breathtaking panoramas in both summer and winter, which are not only accessible to alpinists and ski tour fans, but can also be easily reached with the Dachstein south face cable car. Summer sports enthusiasts will also find a large number of tours and excursion destinations through spectacular waterfall gorges and lush green alpine meadows in the Schladminger Tauern. Traditional alpine huts can also be found on such meadows, where you can experience customs and sample local delicacies, namely Steirerkas bread or Ennstal doughnuts.
